Privacy Policy — Facet

Facet ("the app") analyzes a photo of your face and generates a skin report. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

What we collect

• Photos you submit. When you request an analysis, the photo you select or take is sent to our server for processing.
• Purchase records. In-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Contact details you choose to give us. If you use the optional "get matched with a specialist" feature, you can submit your name, email address, phone number, and location (city or ZIP code). This is collected only when you fill in that form.

The app does not require an account. Aside from the optional contact form above, we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or precise location.

How your photo is used

Your photo is used only to generate your skin report:

1. Our server runs computer-vision models on the photo to detect skin characteristics (wrinkles, discoloration, blemishes, and similar features).
2. Portions of the analysis are processed by a third-party AI provider to generate the written report. Data sent to AI providers is subject to their API data policies; our providers do not use API data to train their models.

Photos are processed to generate your report and are not sold, shared for advertising, or used to train our own models. Facet's analysis measures facial features in your photo (facial-landmark geometry) solely to generate your cosmetic report; the app asks for your consent before your first scan.

Retention and deletion

• Photos and full analysis results are automatically deleted from our server within 48 hours of processing. They are kept only that long so retries and re-opens of a fresh report work.
• Numerical scores only (for example, a symmetry or skin-evenness score — never images or facial-geometry data) are retained under a random install identifier so the app can show your progress over time.
• To delete your retained scores, email us from the Contact address below; we will delete them within 30 days. The random install identifier is not linked to your name or contact details.

If you request a specialist match

The "get matched with a specialist" feature is optional. If you submit the form, we use the name, email, phone number, and location you provide to contact you and, where possible, connect you with a vetted provider in your area. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. To have your submitted contact details deleted, email the Contact address below and we will delete them within 30 days.

Reports on your device

Past reports are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Facet is a cosmetic-information tool. Its output is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a dermatologist or physician for any skin-health concern.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
